Q. Do I need a permit to build a deck?

A. When you build a new deck or alter the the foot print of the deck you need to pull a permit. If you are replacing all of the boards you do not need to pull a permit.

Q. Do I need to provide the materials for the deck?

A. You can either provide the materials for the deck or we can take care of it and ensure that all of the correct items are there!

Q. Who will be building the deck?

A. One of our skilled carpenters will be building the deck. Many of which we have been working with for many years!

Q. How long will it take to build a deck?

A. Simple decks take a few days. High end custom decks can take several weeks.

Q. What if the ground isn't level?

A. When we are building the deck and installing the support posts we will be able to take into account for the elevation change.

Q. What type of payment do you take?

A. We take cash, check, credit cards or we finance.

Q. Are you Insured?

A. Yes we are.

Q. What kind of insurance?

A. We carry Liability as well as workers comp.

Q. Can I install my windows myself?

A. Windows can defenitly be installed by a home owner but someone who does it everyday makes it look simple.

Q. How long does a window installation usually take?

A. A full house will take from 1 to 3 days depending on the size of the house.

Q. How much will a window installation cost?

A. Installing windows verys depending on the size and location of the window.

Q. Should someone be home during my window installation?

A. You don't need to be there while the process is happening but we definitely need you to be there for the start and the finish of the project.

Q. How will a window installation affect the surrounding wall?

A. With a window insert it will only affect the parts of the trim that we will touch up once the installation is done.

Q. Are windows installed from the inside or outside?

A. Most of our replacement windows will be installed from the inside.

Q. Is there anything I need to do to get my home ready for my window installation?

A. We ask that you make sure there is at least 3 feet of working space around each window.

Q. Will the installation process create a mess in my home?

A. There will be some mess created but once the team finishes a window they vacuum up the mess after ourselves.

Q. Who is responsible for disposing of my old windows after replacement?

A. We will discard the old windows, unless requested to leave behind.

Q. Can you install dutch doors?

A. Yes we can.

Q. Do we have to find the door or do you provide it?

A. We can do whatever you are most comfortable with.

Q. Do I have to be home during the installation?

A. We need you at the start and the end but you are not needed during the process.

Q. Will there be anytime that I don't have a door?

A. As long as the proper door is ordered the time where there is an opening to the outside world is kept to a minimum.

Q. Will the installation process create a mess in my home?

A. There will be some dirt around the door but we will go through and vacuum up after ourselfs.

Q. Who is responsible for disposing of my old door?

A. Usually we take care of the doors.

Q. Is there anything I need to do to prepare for the installation?

A. Make sure the working area is clear of personal postions. Pictures, furniture, etc.

Q.Can't I install the door myself?

A. If you choose to do that you can definitely install the door.

Q. Do new doors increase the value of my home?

A. New doors can add value to the home as well as improve the efficiency of the home.

Q. Will new doors damage the surrounding wall?

A. Standard door isolation will cause some damage that will need to be touched up. If the paint is available we can touch that up.

Q. Who is responsible for cleanup after the installation?

A. Our team will clean up after themselves.

Q. Do you offer free estimates and quotes?

A. Yes.

Q. What are your prices?

A. Prices are based on the job and not by the hour.

Q. When are you open and how do your business hours work?

A. We are open Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm

A. I have been in the contracting world for over 10 years. Many of the members of my team have been in the industry for over 15 years. We can't be a master of everything and that is where our team comes together and work off our strengths.
